The  Superstudio Maxi in Milan is preparing to host, from Tuesday, May  27 to Thursday, May 29 , 2025, SAMAB – Fashion Technologies Event, the international event dedicated to the innovation of machinery and equipment for fashion manufacturing organized by Senaf under the patronage of ANTIA (National Association of Professional Technicians Fashion System), Confindustria Moda – Textile and Fashion Federation and IACDE (International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives) and in collaboration with Tecniche Nuove Group and the media partnership Technofashion magazine.

The goal of the event is clear: to accelerate the use of advanced technologies, promote process efficiency, enhance skills and integrate sustainability, digitization and new production models. With a dynamic layout and highly specialized content, SAMAB serves as a reference point for companies, artisans and professionals, offering an in-depth look at the most current solutions for digitizing and optimizing processes.

Through a large exhibition area, live demonstrations, thematic workshops, and 50 conferences and events, SAMAB serves as a place for connection, education, and exchange, aimed at the entire industry community: designers, technicians, fashion experts, model makers, production managers, prototype makers, software developers, and integrated service providers.

There are more than 70 exhibiting companies that will present tools and services designed to concretely address changes in the industry.

Through a targeted schedule, in fact, SAMAB offers players in the fashion supply chain the opportunity to delve into the industry’s development prospects, explore emerging technologies and analyze global market signals, with the aim of interpreting change and meeting the challenges of the future.

The three-day event will focus on topics that are important to protect the future of the supply chain, such as technological innovation, which is useful in making production increasingly efficient, sustainability, and talent training, which is crucial to support the implementation of new technologies.

With this in mind, after the institutional opening, on May 27 there will be a discussion on supply chain, technological innovation and sustainability during the panel discussion “Supply Chain and Future. Technological innovation in production. Process Optimization and Sustainability”: with contributions from SAMAB’s partner associations, namely ANTIA, Confindustria Moda – Textile and Fashion Federation and IACDE Italy. The sustainability topic will continue to be a priority with the afternoon conference dedicated to Circular Economy for the textile sector, with the contribution of consortiums, experts and companies already experimenting with circular models. On the following day, there will also be a time dedicated to the challenges of textile waste recovery and recycling.

The topic of innovation, while transversal to all three days, will find a comparison time with an in-depth look at the technological skills of the future for fashion manufacturing, which will also be an opportunity to delve into topics as relevant as ever such as digitization, AI (with specific case histories on H&M and LVMH Group), data management and training. The day will end with a session focused on 3D printing, automation and new organizational approaches.

The third and final day of SAMAB, May 29, will be dedicated to combining the aforementioned themes with a focus on the new frontiers of circular and inclusive fashion, with a close look at research, advanced craftsmanship and digital innovation.

Alongside the conferences and institutional moments, leading companies in the sector will be the focus of a series of technical events where they will have the opportunity to present solutions, innovations and application cases directly to the professional audience.

Confirming the strategic profile of the event, SAMAB also stands out as a platform for internationalization and the development of targeted professional relationships, thanks to a structured matchmaking program with 21 international buyers from key countries for European manufacturing, including Albania, Egypt, Morocco, Poland, Germany, Serbia and Tunisia.

These activities, carried out in collaboration with chambers of commerce, trade associations and institutional partners, aim to facilitate the meeting of qualified supply and demand, promote high value-added trade exchanges and facilitate access to new markets for Italian companies.

This interest has also been reflected in the numbers and quality of visitors already registered. With more than 3,000 professionals expected (including 2,500 already accredited12 percent of them from 25 foreign countries – and the participation of operators representing some of the most prestigious international brands). In this way, SAMAB is not just an exhibition showcase, but an accelerator of connections, content and visions. An opportunity to discover the technologies of the future, enhance Made in Italy skills and strengthen the competitiveness of fashion manufacturing in a global scenario.
